Spring 2016 Semester Applications are closed.  Fall Applications will
start about Wednesday of the first week of Fall Semester.

Important New Change to be a Spanish Minor or a Spanish Teaching Minor

A student wishing to become a Spanish Minor or a Spanish Minor Teaching-Emphasis will be accepted only through an application process conducted twice each year. Deadlines are typically around the Feb. 15th and Oct. 15th. Applicants must have completed SPAN 3300, or SPAN 3060 here at USU (on-site). Spring 2016 deadline is February 15 at 11:59 p.m.

Other requirements include 1) a minimum overall institutional USU (non-transfer) GPA of 3.00, and 2) a minimum GPA of 3.00 for all Spanish (SPAN) courses taken at USU. The Spanish Minor application is done online.

To access the CANVAS Spanish Minor application process, contact Darla Moore in Main 204, or call 435-797-1209. Application to the Spanish Minor is competitive. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admittance. She will then enroll the applicant in the CANVAS course where he/she will complete the application process. The application process will require the student to 1) fill out the upload an application form, 2) upload an electronic copy of his/her USU transcript, and 3) complete a 25-minute Spanish writing assignment.
